Education Schools Colleges:one primary school and one Kaliappapillai Govt high school are there from 1940. The high school under the District board once was one among the famous schools in Ramnad Dist. Leaving the Rajah high school Ramnad, and Chettiar high school Paramakudi, this was the only school available with well capable and dedicated teaching facilities to cater the educational needs of thousands of rural students around Kamankottai. Students from Sathirakudi, Manjur, Manjakkollai, Mudalur, Gangaikondan, Pandiyur, Muthuvayal and so on. The name of Head Master instrumental for the growth of the institution during 1960-70 was one Mr. Vaithianathaiyer. He brought up the students community with discipline and made them to concentrate on studies. Many students from this school have occupied high level Govt, Bank, Judiciary positions. A. சந்திரசேகர் அவர்கள், இன்றைய தலைமுறையில் உள்ள முன்னணி நடிகர்களில் அதிகப்படியான ரசிகர் கூட்டங்களை கொண்ட இளைய தளபதி விஜய் அவர்களின் தந்தை என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. | ||
அதே சினிமாத்துறையில் தமிழில், தலைமுறை, செர்ணமுகி, தொட்டசிணுங்கி, பிரியசகி மற்றும் பாலிவுட்டில் முன்னணி நட்சத்திரங்களான ஹிரித்திக், ஷாருகான் போன்ற முன்னணி நடிகர்களை வைத்து வெற்றிப்படம் கண்ட இயக்குனர் திரு.K. S. அதியமான் அவர்கள் பயின்ற பள்ளி என்பது மேலும் சிறப்புமிக்க ஒன்று. | |||
இது போன்று இந்த காளியப்பபிள்ளை அரசு மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளி இன்றுவரை பல திறமைமிக்க மாணவர்களை சமுதாயத்தில் அடையாளம் காட்டியுள்ளது. இப்பள்ளியில் பயின்ற பெரும்பாலோனோர் மத்திய மாநில அரசு பணிகளில் உள்ளனர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. | |||
