மடிச்சல்

மடிச்சல் என்பது கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டம், விளவன்காேடு வட்டத்திலுள்ள ஒரு கிராமம் ஆகும். இக்கிராமம் குழித்துறை அருகிலுள்ளது. புராணக் காலத்தில் அரேபிய கடலிலிருந்து வணிகர்கள் வந்திருந்த இக்கிராமம் ஒரு வரலாற்று துறைமுகமாக உள்ளது

விவசாயம்

இந்தக் கிராமத்தின் வருமானத்தில் விவசாயம் முக்கிய பங்கை வகிக்கிறது. தாமிரபரணி நதி மற்றும் கீரன் குளம் (குளம்) நீர்ப்பாசன நீர் முக்கிய ஆதாரமாக உள்ளது. நெல், வாழைப்பழம், தேங்காய் மரங்கள், காய்கறிகள், பழ வகைகள் மற்றும் ரப்பர் ஆகியவை இந்தக் கிராமத்தில் உள்ள முக்கிய சாகுபடி ஆகும். விவசாயத்துடன் நகைத்தொழில் மற்றும், தச்சு வேலை இந்த கிராம மக்களுக்கு ஒரு முக்கிய வேலைவாய்ப்பாக உள்ளது. இயற்கை அழகு மிக்க இக்கிராமத்தில் நெல் வயல்கள், சாகுபடி பயிர்கள் மற்றும் பயனுள்ள எல்லைகள் கொண்ட மரங்கள் உள்ளன. கீரன் குளம் குளத்தில் இருந்து மடிச்செல் ஆற்றின் பாதையில் பல கவர்ச்சிகரமான காட்சிகள் உள்ளன.
