	[[ஆண்]], [[பெண்]] இரண்டிற்குமே கொம்புகள் வளர்கின்றன. பொதுவாக ஆண் துருவ மான்களின் [[மான் கொம்பு\|கொம்புகள்]] பெரியவையாக உள்ளன. கொம்பில் கிளைகளுண்டு. ஆண், பெண் இரண்டிலும் கலைக்கொம்புகள் காணப்பட்டாலும் ஆண் கொம்பு பெரியதாகவும், கிளைகள் மிகுந்துமிருக்கும். மற்ற மான்களைப் போல உடலமைப்பு இருப்பதில்லை. குளம்புகளும், பக்கக் குளம்புகளும் பெரியவை. கொம்பின் முதற்கிளை கீழ் நோக்கி வளைந்திருக்கும். வாயை சுற்றி முடி இருக்கும். மேற்பகுதி கரும் பழுப்பாகவும், வயிற்றுப் பகுதி வெண்மையாகவும் இருக்கும். காதும், வாலும் குட்டையாகக் காணப்படும். 1.25 மீ உயரமும், 20 கி.கி எடையும் இருக்கும்.
