மோகன்லால் என்று பரவலாக அறியப்படும் மோகன்லால் விஸ்வநாதன் (Mohanlal Viswanathan) (பிறப்பு 21 மே 1960), ஓர் இந்திய நடிகர், திரைப்படத் தயாரிப்பாளர், பின்னணிப் பாடகர், திரைப்பட விநியோகர் மற்றும் இயக்குநர் ஆவார், இவர் பெரும்பாலும் மலையாள, கன்னட சினிமாத் துறையில் பணிபுரிகிறார்.^[3]^[4]^[5] மோகன்லால் நான்கு தசாப்தங்களுக்கும் மேலாக முன்னணிக் கதாநாயகராகத் திகழ்கிறார்.மேலும், 400க்கும் மேற்பட்ட திரைப்படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார் .^[6]^[7] மலையாள சினிமாவில் மோகன்லாலின் பங்களிப்புகளை இந்தியத் திரையுலகில் உள்ள சமகாலத்தவர்கள் பாராட்டியுள்ளனர்.^[8]^[9]^[10] இந்திய அரசு இந்திய சினிமாவுக்கு இவர் செய்த பங்களிப்புகளுக்காக இவருக்கு இந்தியாவின் மூன்றாவது மற்றும் நான்காவது உயரிய குடிமை விருதான பத்மசிறீ 2001இலும் ^[11] 2019 இல் பத்ம பூசண்,^[12] விருதும் வழங்கி கௌரவித்தது. 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டில், மாநிலப் பாதுக்காப்புப் படையில் துணைநிலை ஆளுநர் என்ற கௌரவப் பதவியைப் பெற்ற இந்தியாவின் முதல் நடிகர் ஆனார்.^[13]^[14] 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான தாதாசாகேப் பால்கே விருதை வென்றார். இந்த விருது செப்டம்பர் 23தேதி புதுடெல்லியில் குடியரசுத் தலைவரால் வழங்கப்பட்டது.மோகன்லால் தனது 18வது வயதில் 1978 ஆம் ஆண்டு மலையாளத் திரைப்படமான திரனோட்டம் என்ற திரைப்படத்தில் நடிகராக அறிமுகமானார், ஆனால் தணிக்கைச் சிக்கல்களால் படம் 25 ஆண்டுகள் வெளிவருவதில் தாமதம் ஏற்பட்டது. 1980 ஆம் ஆண்டு காதல் திரைப்படமான மஞ்சில் விரிஞ்சா பூக்கள் திரைப்படத்தில் அறிமுகமானார். இதில் எதிரிக் கதாப்பாத்திரத்தில் நடித்தார்.^[15]^[16] தொடர்ந்து எதிரிக் கதாப்பத்திரங்களில் நடித்த பின்னர் அடுத்த இரு ஆண்டுகளில் துணை நடிகராக நடித்தார்.1986 இல் பல வெற்றிகரமான படங்களில் நடித்த பிறகு முன்னணி நடிகராக ஆனார்.அந்த ஆண்டு வெளியான ராஜாவிண்டே மகன் என்ற திரைப்படம் இவரை முன்னணி நடிகராக ஆக்கியது.^[15] மோகன்லால் மலையாளப் படங்களில் மட்டுமல்லாது சில இந்தி, தமிழ், தெலுங்கு மற்றும் கன்னடப் படங்களிலும் நடித்துள்ளார். தமிழ் அரசியல் திரைப்படமான இருவர் (1997),கம்பெனி (2002) எனும் இந்தித் திரைப்படம் மற்றும் தெலுங்குத் திரைப்படமான ஜனதா கேரேஜ் (2016) ஆகியவை இதில் குறிப்பிடத்தகுந்தன ஆகும்.^[6]^[6]

ஆரம்பகால வாழ்க்கை

மோகன்லால் விஸ்வநாதன் 1960 மே 21 அன்று கேரளாவின் பத்தனம்திட்டா மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள எலந்தூர் கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவர் கேரள அரசின் முன்னாள் அதிகாரியும், சட்டச் செயலாளருமான விஸ்வநாதன் நாயர் மற்றும் சாந்தகுமாரி ஆகியோரின் இளைய பிள்ளை ஆவார்.^[17]^[18] இவருக்கு பியாரேலால் என்ற அண்ணன் இருந்தார் (இராணுவப் பயிற்சியின் போது 2000 இல் இறந்தார்).^[19] மோகன்லாலுக்கு இவரது தாய்வழி மாமா கோபிநாதன் நாயர் பெயரிட்டார், அவர் முதலில் "மோகன்லால்" என்பதைத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதற்கு முன்பு ரோஷன்லால் என்று பெயரிட முடிவு செய்தார். இருப்பினும், அவரின் தந்தை மோகன்லாலுக்கு அவர்களின் குடும்பப் பெயரைக் கொடுப்பதைத் தவிர்த்தார். அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் குடும்பப்பெயராக இருக்கும் அவர்களின் சாதிப் பெயரை ( நாயர் ) வைக்கக் கூடாது என்பதில் அவரின் தந்தை உறுதியாக இருந்தார்.^[20] மோகன்லால் முடவன்முகில் திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் உள்ள தனது தந்தைவழி வீட்டில் வளர்ந்தார். திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் உள்ள அரசு மாதிரி ஆண்கள் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் படித்த பின்னர், திருவனந்தபுரம் மகாத்மா காந்தி கல்லூரியில் வணிகவியல் இளங்கலைப் பட்டம் பெற்றார்.^[21]^[22] மோகன்லால் கம்ப்யூட்டர் பாய் என்ற மேடை நாடகத்தில் ஆறாம் வகுப்பு மாணவராக இருந்த போது முதன்முதலாக நடித்தார். அதில் தொண்ணூறு வயது முதியவராக நடித்தார்.^[23]

1977 மற்றும் 1978 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் கேரள மாநில மல்யுத்த வாகையாளராக இருந்தார்.^[24]

ஆரம்பகாலங்களில்

மோகன்லால் மற்றும் அவரது நண்பர்களான, மணியன்பிள்ளை ராஜு, சுரேஷ் குமார், உன்னி, பிரியதர்சன், இரவிக்குமார் மற்றும் இன்னும் சிலரால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட தீரனோட்டம் திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் 1978 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மோகன்லால் நடிகராக அறிமுகமானார். குட்டப்பன் என்ற மனநலம் குன்றிய வேலைக்காரனாக மோகன்லால் நடித்தார். தணிக்கையில் ஏற்பட்ட சில பிரச்சனைகளால் படம் குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் வெளியாகவில்லை. படம் வெளியாக 25 வருடங்கள் ஆனது.^[25]
