<big>Thiagalingam Ratnam</big> [[இ. தியாகலிங்கம்]]; born 1967 in Karainagar, Sri Lanka) is a Norwegian-Tamil writer, living in Oslo, who has written novels, short stories and poems in Tamil. Since 1987, he has written under the pseudonyms "Karainagaran" and "Karaiyuran". The novels, short stories and poems have been published in the largest national newspaper in Sri Lanka, Virakesari, in the weekly magazine RANI from Tamil Nadu in India and in several other Tamil newspapers and magazines. Some of them have also come out in Norway. He has also been involved in the Norwegian-Tamil Literary Association.
==Life summary==
Thiagalingam is a native of Karainagar , Sri Lanka. Born in 1967 as the third son of Velupillai Ratnam and Ratnam Parameshwari, he did his primary education at the minor section of Karainagar Yarlton College, followed by his ordinary standard in Yarlton College and higher standard in Karainagar Hindu College.
